the future of financial advice – a nuts & bolts solution roadshow

Like it or not, further change to the execution of financial advice is on the way. The Hon Chris Bowen - Minister for Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law - has made it very clear that it’s the current Government’s policy that from July 2012 payment of all types of commissions on all investments other than insurance will be prohibited.

Praemium has been the choice of fee-based advisers for some years and V-Wrap is at the heart of a powerful transitional solution that will enable you to offer a suite of investment options and one that embraces:

Praemium’s transitional solution will enable you to continue doing business under the old regime whilst “tooling up” for the new regime proposed for post July 2012, and at the same time giving you control over the value chain thereby making your business more valuable.

Find out how Praemium and its business partners can offer you A Nuts & Bolts Solution for the new regime. There will be no charge to attend this Roadshow to be held in five capital cities between 13 to 20 July 2010.

Please visit http://www.praemium.com.au/The-Future-of-Financial-Advice-A-Nuts-Bolts-Solution-Roadshow.html to register your attendance today.

powerwrap  - an adviser perspective

Powerwrap is a full custodial wrap platform built on Praemium’s V-Wrap technology, offering a universe of 650 managed funds and integrating with V-Wrap to provide consolidated reporting across all investment assets.

Omar Palov, Principal at Queensland financial planning firm, WTC Financial Services, enjoys the efficiencies that the Powerwrap approach brings: “Powerwrap gives me the flexibility to hold equities in a V-Wrap portfolio and managed fund assets in the Powerwrap scheme, so the client is paying a much lower total administration fee.  Yet I still get a full consolidation of the portfolio, without re-keying any data.  The Powerwrap service is fully online, easy to use and well priced, and as it’s based on Praemium technology, I know it’s accurate.”

For more information on Powerwrap, please contact David Harris, Head of Distribution, on 03 8681 4604 or davidharris@powerwrap.com.au .

WTC Financial Services is the financial services arm of CondonTreasure, a progressive Queensland accountancy and financial planning firm with offices in Roma, Charleville, Maroochydore and Rockhampton.

tip of the month

Do you regularly upload cash transactions or use V-Wrap in conjunction with a super compliance package such as BGL Simple Fund or Desktop Super?

If the answer is yes, rules can now be created to automatically tag a cash transaction with a specific general ledger (GL) code to facilitate its future export to a third party software application. Uploaded transactions that appear in the portfolio’s cash book now have their own Remember button to create these rules.  For more information on this please refer to our Online Help under Cash Books -  Using notes to create upload rules for cash transactions.
