june already!

With such a busy last few months, it is hard to believe that the end of financial year is upon us once again. To remind you of some of the key end of financial year process within V-Wrap, we will be providing two webinars at the end of June.

We are pleased to announce new enhancements to V-Wrap which will help you manage portfolios more efficiently, and provide some feedback on the User Groups which many of you attended over the last month.

new! manage partial drps

New functionality is now available in V-Wrap to help you manage your client's Dividend Reinvestment Plans more efficiently. Specifically, this functionality allows you to:

To select a partial DRP participation for a particular security:

To set a standard participation across all securities in a portfolio:

For further information on excluding selected securities or setting a cap on DRPs, you can download our Help Sheet for DRP Static Data.

new! incomplete tax parcel information

If you are loading a portfolio onto V-Wrap but are unsure of the cost information for some of the tax parcels, you can now load these parcels as a ‘No Cost Adjustment'. This will allow the portfolio to receive information for valuation and performance purposes, but will highlight the parcel as ‘No Cost' in the Unrealised and Realised CGT reports.

For information on how to:

you can download our Help Sheet for No Cost Data.

new! fixed interest data capture

We are currently in the process of developing Fixed Interest functionality in V-Wrap. This is an ongoing development and you will see further enhancements in this area released throughout the rest of this year.

The first step in this development has now been released; enabling you to capture data on Fixed Interest securities including:

These fields can be found when creating a Service and Personal Asset.

As this is the first step in an ongoing development, no other functions or screens will currently be impacted if these fields are populated.

We look forward to providing you with further updates on V-Wrap's Fixed Interest capability over the coming months.

user group update

Thank you to all those who attended the User Group sessions during the last month.  All sessions around the country were very well attended and some great discussion was had.

We received lots of good ideas and thank you to everyone for their feedback on V-Wrap and p-Desktop.  We also received some good ideas on running the User Group sessions in the future and look forward to implementing these changes next time.

All ideas and suggestions are now being collated and reviewed to feed into our ongoing development plans.  We look forward to providing you feedback on this, and information about new enhancements, in the next round of User Group sessions.

tip of the month

recalculating consolidated portfolios

When recalculating a consolidated portfolio please ensure all the underlying portfolios have been recalculated to the same date you are trying to recalculate the consolidated portfolio to.

You will not be able to recalculate the consolidated portfolio to a different date from the underlying portfolios, if there is a recalculation error on one of the underlying portfolios, or if one or more of the underlying portfolios have been recalculated to a different date.

You can check this on the Main Screen by searching for the underlying portfolio IDs and checking the As At Date.
Alternatively, by selecting the Edit button, next to the consolidated portfolio ID on the main screen, and then clicking on the Select accounts to be consolidated button, a list of all the underlying portfolios linked to the consolidated portfolio can be viewed. The As At Date can be checked to make sure all portfolios are recalculated to the same date.
