enhancements and updates for BGL users

Over the last few months, we have been working behind the scene to improve V-Wrap's data transfer with BGL Simple Fund (BGL). We're pleased to announce the following enhancements are now in place.

Web interface between V-Wrap and BGL
A web interface is now available to facilitate automatic upload of transaction information from V-Wrap to BGL. The interface removes the need for a BGL user to log into V-Wrap to manually download the transaction files before manually uploading them into BGL.

Asset class override
A new facility is now in place to amend the default BGL General Ledger Asset Code for a security. This means a BGL user can now control which BGL General Ledger Asset Code it will export to.

Security code override

BGL users can now use the Security Code Override function when V-Wrap is bringing across a security code that they wish to change to something else. 

By entering the alternate code that needs to be changed and the security code that the user wish to receive in BGL using the Override screen, V-Wrap will then export the portfolio to BGL using the requested security code for the transaction.

Please note that this is a service-wide override and will occur for all portfolios that hold the overridden security.  Furthermore, when a BGL user utilises the override function to convert stapled securities back to the one asset, a journal will need to be done in BGL to fix the amount of units.

Other fixes and updates 
A number of fixes and/or updates have also been made recently to reduce the "998" balance account.  These include name and code changes affecting the "998" account, DRP entries, and correction to the proceeds of realised sales affecting the 235 account.

BGL Roadshow
BGL is conducting Roadshow sessions in March 2009 to provide a range of new enhancement updates. One of these updates will be the above-mentioned Web Interface between Praemium's V-Wrap and BGL Simple Fund.
