As Præmium's functionality and number of clients continues to grow, we thought it was time to provide you with a regular update to keep you informed about new developments, user-tips and servicing updates from Præmium. If there is anything in particular that you’d like to see in the newsletter, please let us know.


It also seems a good time to reflect on the achievements of the past year as we head into the holiday season and towards the New Year.  2007 has been busy year and we have continued to deliver more functionality for our clients including:

new! interface with GBST

V-Wrap now seamlessly integrates with GBST; delivering even greater efficiency and cost savings.


If you use a broker which clears through a GBST system, you will no longer need to manually reconcile holding positions and transaction details for each of your clients. The interface with GBST now means that data is transferred securely from GBST to V-Wrap delivering:

To activate this service, please advise your broker that you are a Præmium user and wish to utilise this service. Your broker must clear through GBST.

developments in testing

We are pleased to advise that the following enhancements are currently being piloted with a sub-set of clients:

The piloting process allows the functionality to be tested by real clients so that issues can be resolved before general release.


We expect that these developments will be released shortly, so keep your eye out for a system message for further information.

action since the præmium user groups

Thank you to all those who participated in the User Groups during September and October. We received great feedback from all those who attended and are pleased to announce that we have already taken action on some of the key points raised.

So far, the following new functionality has been released:

We will continue to run User Group forums through-out 2008 and will announce their dates via this newsletter.

entering DRPs

When you are adding DRP details into the Dividend Reinvestment Detail screen, make sure you enter the date of purchase within the ‘from’ date rather than leaving it as ‘at inception’.

If you leave the ‘from date’ as ‘at inception’ and the ASX has re-used the security code, the system will automatically return the first company that used that ASX code.

For example, if you enter ‘AMP’ with a date of ‘as at inception’, the system will return AMPOL Limited rather than AMP Ltd.

How long have you worked with Præmium?

Since May 2006

What are your key responsibilities?

As Corporate Action Supervisor, my primary responsibility is to ensure that the system is updated with all corporate actions in a timely manner. In addition I provide training to clients and answer client queries via phone or email.

What is your career background?

I have worked primarily in Client Services throughout my career, but in industries ranging from Hospitality to Outsourcing to the Investment Sector. I also had a brief stint working in Human Resources for an IT company.


What was your first job and how much were you paid?

My first job was as the Rooms/Front Office Manager (at age 21) of a small resort near Harare in Zimbabwe. I was paid 1500.00 Zimbabwe Dollars a month with accommodation and board provided at the resort.


What book are you currently reading?

The Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris
